What's the benefit of this place? When I got there it was full of rocks and branches. Over the course of a few days I cleared it out. It seems some new rocks spawn every day. I haven't yet used the Hoe there, but if it's just a respawning rock zone...that's what the mine is for. Surely there's more to it.
